All about the best book opportunity ever!
One Day When Jeff Was Looking For A Book To Read...One day while taking a break from studying for the Massachusetts CPA exam, General Manager Jeff Schwartz was driving up route 125 in Plaistow searching for a place to relax and buy a book or magazine to read. Upon realizing that there was no place in the area to do this, he began discussing with friends and family, the idea of opening a store in the area which carries both new bestsellers at discount prices and gently used books. Everyone that he tested the idea on confirmed the fact that there was a definite need.
And Then Jeff & Erin Found The Ideal Location
Jeff and his wife, Erin, both longtime book lovers and high school sweethearts (with five college degrees between them!) decided that the Great Elm Plaza across from Market Basket was the ideal location for this venture.
And Made A Parent & Kid-Friendly Book Store
Erin, being a grade school teacher believed that any great bookstore has to have a fun and well stocked children's area where kids and parents can feel safe and comfortable in a kid-friendly environment. There's even a section where children can feel free to sit on beanbag chairs and draw on the wall with chalk while mom and dad read. The response from patrons has been tremendous! Since opening, the store has been host for many fun events and continues to grow and thrive.
